HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED
What it would feel like to have your literacy block plans done for the whole year?
starting the 2025 school year with....
- your structured literacy lesson plans done for the whole year.
- your instructional PPTS done and student resources printed and ready to go.
- the progress monitoring tools you need to ensure no student gets left behind.
- access to a learning community with fellow teachers on the same journey.
- the knowledge your literacy program is informed by science and actually works in real classrooms.
Youâve heard the hype around structured literacy and science-backed teaching methods But......you just don't know where to start.
What if I told you that I could not only give you the first few steps but could guide you for the entire journey?

Are there days when you feel a complete failure as a teacher? No matter what you do, some of your students are still so far from reaching grade-level literacy outcomes.Â
I know the struggle and itâs NOT YOUR FAULT! The fact is, your college degree did not prepare you for the overwhelmingly complex task of teaching children to read and write. Yep, they just assumed that when you stood in front of a classroom of kindergarten students, youâd automatically know what to do. Â
Truth is, despite what youâve been told, there is a right and wrong way to teach reading and thankfully the science has taken the guesswork out of what that approach looks like.

YES PLEASE!
I want better results for my students!
You can be the teacher who helps every child get off to the best possible start in their literacy journey.

You know the science is offering much clearer guardrails for literacy instruction but how on earth do you find the time to get up to speed with the research let alone write programs that incorporate this newly acquired knowledge?

Or if you do manage to find a program, in addition to it being expensive, or âread a scriptâ, it will likely only cover the phonics part of structured literacy.

You want to make the shift to structured literacy because you want to help more students succeed but your school is not there yet. (Trust me, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!)
"I was then introduced to The Literacy Collective and realised that this is not only a phonics program but a whole new approach to teaching English in the early years."

GRADE 1
TLC Launchpad Module 1Â provides a continuum of learning throughout the crucial foundational years with scope and sequences mapping not only to the Australian national and state curriculums but also most importantly to the science.Â
In Module 1, the Module F content is reviewed and built upon, with an emphasis on decoding multiple spelling patterns for the English speech sounds and building fluency. Rich texts are used to build the knowledge required for oral and written composition, focusing heavily on sentence construction and the simpler genres. Grammar and syntax are taught in the context of childrenâs writing and comprehension skills such as inference or finding the main idea are taught through rich discussions around connected text sets, (aligned to other KLA subjects where possible) and secondary sources of information.Â
Available Sept 30, 2024

GRADE 2
Building on the word recognition skills acquired in Mod F and Mod 1, the emphasis In Mod 2 shifts to advanced code spelling patterns, syllable types and decoding/encoding multi-syllabic words. Increasingly, the word study lessons incorporate morphology and etymology knowledge. Discussions around rich texts, (linked to other KLA subjects where possible) are used to build the background and vocabulary knowledge required for oral and written compositions. Scaffolded writing templates and guided writing lessons ensure children receive explicit instruction in sentence types and genre formats. Grammar and syntax skills are taught in the context of childrenâs writing and comprehension skills such as inference or finding the main idea are taught through rich discussions and levelled questioning techniques used alongside connected theme-based text sets.
